Meet KathleenWhen Kathleen is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to the Outer Banks, and of course, reading anything she can get her hands on. She currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, three children, Sussex Spaniel, and French Bulldog. Girl on Trial, her debut novel, won 1st place in the Independent Book Awards (IPPYS) for Best YA Debut Novel and received accolades from Kirkus Reviews and Forward Reviews. Some of her forty short stories have been published in Litro Magazine, Pen in Hand, The Maryland Writer’s Association Anthology, and The Indignor Playhouse Anthology. She is a member of the Maryland Writers Association, International Thriller Writers, and Author’s Guild. Kathleen received her Master’s in Reading Education from Towson University and a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from The University of Maryland, College Park. Kathleen currently serves as the Content Manager/Writer at Gilchrist Hospice, where she plays a crucial role in developing and overseeing marketing content across various platforms such as print publications, the web, emails, presentations, and speeches. She possesses advanced skills in oral and written communication, developmental editing, publication processes, project management, and innovative problem-solving. Kathleen effectively handles multiple projects and priorities, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and works both independently and within team settings to support content initiatives and marketing strategies. |
